Nominate an Alumnus or Alumna for a TMAA Award
Every year, The Tulane Medical Alumni Association presents several awards in conjunction with the year's reunions. If you know an alumnus/a who deserves one of the awards below, please fill out the form. NOTE: Only one nomination is allowed per form.
The awards and criteria are as follows:
50th Reunion – Class of 1975
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD NOMINATION
(Due back by March 1, 2025)
This award is available only to the 50-year graduating class - M’75. It recognizes an alumnus/a whose life has been an exemplary one. The individual may have made significant contributions to the field of medicine, offered outstanding leadership in his/her community, exhibited an unusual degree of dedication and/or service to Tulane, or any combination of the above. Recipient must be willing and able to be in attendance at the event when the award is presented at the Awards Brunch at The Higgins Hotel. Please observe the following guidelines when making a nomination:
- Any member of the faculty or alumni body may make a nomination.
- Recipient must be willing and able to be present for the award presentation.
OUTSTANDING ALUMNUS AWARD
Recognizes career accomplishments and/or excellence in the medical profession.
- Must be a graduate of the Tulane University School of Medicine for at least 10 years prior to being a nominee for the award.
- Must be distinguished in his/her profession, and must have received previous recognition from peers.
DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD
Recognizes demonstrated loyalty and/or service to Tulane University School of Medicine.
- Must be an individual whose interest and loyalty to the school is evident.
- Must have had active role in supporting the school since the time of graduation.
C.D. TAYLOR AWARD
Recognizes outstanding service to the medical health of one's community by significant work with individuals and/or organizations within the community.
TMAA YOUNG ALUMNI LEADERSHIP AWARD
Recognizes a young medical leader who serves their medical community while providing high-quality, meaningful healthcare to patients.
- Must be five years post medical school and no more than fifteen.
- Must have demonstrated excellence in their profession, service to their community, and received accolades and recognition for their significant and distinguished work.
