Every year the Tulane Medical Alumni Association (TMAA) celebrates the accomplishments of alumni by bestowing honors at an annual spring celebration. To view a list of past award recipients, click here.
TMAA invites Tulane School of Medicine alumni, faculty, and staff to submit a nomination for these special recognitions. If you know a Tulane School of Medicine alum who deserves one of the awards below, please fill out the corresponding nomination form.
Recipients must be willing and able to be present for the award presentation. Current TMAA Board Members are not eligible to receive awards; any nomination shall be deferred until the first year after their term concludes.
NOTE: Only one nomination is allowed per form.
Nominations for these awards are due by November 3, 2025.
OUTSTANDING ALUMNUS AWARD
This award is only available to Tulane School of Medicine graduates who are at least 10 years past graduation.
This award recognizes an alum who is distinguished in his/her profession and must have received previous recognition from peers. This award honors significant career accomplishments and excellence in the medical profession.
Recipient must be willing and able to be in attendance at the event when the award is presented – the Tulane Alumni Association Gala in New Orleans in April 2026.

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD (50th Reunion – Class of 1976)
This award is only available to the 50-year graduating class each year. For 2026, all nominees must be graduates of the Tulane School of Medicine Class of 1976.
This award recognizes an alum whose life has been an exemplary one. The individual may have made significant contributions to the field of medicine, offered outstanding leadership in his/her community, exhibited an extraordinary degree of dedication and/or service to Tulane, or any combination of the above.
Recipient must be willing and able to be in attendance at the event when the award is presented – the Golden Graduates Brunch at The Higgins Hotel on Thursday, May 14, 2026.

DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD
This award is only available to alumni celebrating their 20th through 45th reunion classes each year. For 2026, all nominees must be graduates of one of these classes: 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, and 2006.
This award recognizes an alum who has demonstrated outstanding loyalty and/or service to Tulane School of Medicine. They must be an alum whose interest and loyalty to the School is evident. They must have had active role in supporting the School since the time of their graduation.
Recipient must be willing and able to be in attendance at the event when the award is presented – the Spring Reunion Weekend for their Class Dinner in New Orleans on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

C.D. TAYLOR AWARD
This award is only available to alumni celebrating their 20th through 45th reunion classes each year. For 2026, all nominees must be graduates of one of these classes: 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, and 2006.
Named after a Past President of the TMAA, this award recognizes an alum who has demonstrated outstanding service to the medical health of their community by significant work with individuals and/or organizations within their community.
Recipient must be willing and able to be in attendance at the event when the award is presented – the Spring Reunion Weekend for their Class Dinner in New Orleans on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

YOUNG ALUMNI LEADERSHIP AWARD
This award is only available to alumni celebrating their 10th and 15th reunion classes each year. For 2026, all nominees must be graduates of one of these classes: 2011 and 2016.
This award recognizes a young alum who is a medical leader and serves their medical community while providing high-quality, meaningful healthcare to patients. This alum must have demonstrated excellence in their profession, service to their community, and received accolades and recognition for their significant and distinguished work.
Recipient must be willing and able to be in attendance at the event when the award is presented – the Spring Reunion Weekend for their Class Dinner in New Orleans on Saturday, April 11, 2026.
